Prices will range from $39.99 to $99.99. No other information of release date other than "coming this fall".

I hope they are there when we come "swingin thru" on the 16th.

Has anyone tried these? I saw them in a shop in FL. Real fancy bottles, but I wasn't about to dump $70 on a bottle that I had never even heard of.
Go to John Hansell's blog (http://blog.maltadvocate.com/). He got Drew to give him a detailed accounting of who has what, down to the exact number of bottles.
Chuck, thanks for posting the link to John Hansell's blog. We will be going by The Party Source next week on our journey to Louisville and then to Bardstown. Hopefully, there will be a few bottles of the Willett bottlings left by then.

Brett Pontoni also just purchased a 27yo Stitzel Weller cask under the Willett's label, it will sell for $199.99.
They only got "about" 24 bottles out of it.

You might try Binny's, where Brett Pontoni works.

Come on down baby... We will do a 23-27yr vertical of the good I have...
Give the old "do they taste like liquid chared oak" tasting...
Need to bring down the Gilberts and AC as well... We'll open up about 10-12 bottles...
Willett 27
Parker 27
Willett 25
Old St Nick 25
Rare Perfection 25
Vintage Kentucky 25-26
Martin's Mill 24
Vintage 23
Evan Williams 23
And a couple others I cannot think of right now.

I didn't mean to be sarcastic.
I'm a little surprised that you've amassed so many recent high zoot bottlings without having talked to him yet. He's a player in the scene.

I know you did not... It was suppose to be a complement tied to my stupidity. I appreciate the info, I really just spaced the name. Thank you
I have work with Breet, great guy.
Just spoke with Joe, one of his counter parts, and this is good stuff (the Willett that is).
24 bottles total at 138.6 proof
They say it is better than the PVW 23 year B series (in Breet's and Joe's opinion).
Much less wood than expected
Should be a fun bottle to have and its a great price for one of 24 at cask strength.
I knew I couldn't be the only person with a Martin Mills, EW 23 or Rare Perfection. I'd be interested to see your notes on them. As for the others, I'm green with envy.

Are these extra aged Willet's ryed bourbons?

Oscar,
The 27yo Willetts are from a 27yo S-W barrel, I would suggest it's a wheater and maybe Julian decided a few years back it wasn't quite up to being Pappy 23?
Pure speculation on my behalf.

I have no idea of how this SW Barrell came about, but I can tell you this, it tastes nothing like any Pappy products I've had. so if you are expecting and older, higher proof Pappy 23, you will be disappointed.
Don't get me wrong, I like the 27 Willett just fine, I just wanted to dispel any ideas that they are one in the same. JMO !!!
