I know there's been a lot of bad news lately, but here's something that might cheer some of us up...:D

I remember back when it was released, any redeeming qualities that the drink might have had (can't actually think of any, though), were completely squashed by those stupid TV commercials they had.

Tried to edit Subject Line, but can't seem to. Should be Apocalypse, of course. Duh!

I was spending a lot of time in bars, and working in a liquor store, when Zima was release. We joked at the time that it was for people who thought Bartles & Jaymes tasted too much like wine and Corona tasted too much like beer.

I think it fails to compete in the current flavored malt beverage market because it doesn't have the licensed name of a liquor.

There will always be a market for people who want to get drunk without drinking anything that tastes like an alcoholic beverage.

Yep.

Even a non beer drinker like myself thought zima was a beverage for, well, you said it.

That crowed, the folks who want to get drunk without drinkind a traditional alcohol beverage, are, I think, the type to move from one trend in non-traditional alcoholic beverages to another. Zima or its variants, in one form or another, by one name or nother, will come around every 15-20 years.
