View Full Version : Gift for Your Boss? Holiday Favorite?
Need some help! I'm new to bourbon but have a boss who LOVES it. He's helped me out a lot this year and I want to find a great bottle to give him for the holidays. Something around a $100?
I've found some great posts to get me started on my own journey into the bourbon world but I'd appreciate some ideas for a great gift - what bottle would you enjoy in a stocking this holiday?? Thanks All!
Pappy 20 should fit the bill. I don't know to many Bourbon fans that don't like it.
I'd love to get some Pappy 20 in my stocking, but it's around $130 here. I can't imagine any bourbon lover not being able to appreciate a bottle of Geroge T Stagg ($65 here), which is a limited release that happens to be in stores right now. It's part of a collection, so you could get him a couple different ones for around the same as the Pappy.
I agree any of the BTAC 2008 line up would make a great gift. The other that came to mind was the Wild Turkey American Spirit or WTAS if you use the search function. It's a nice 15 yr old 100 proof, with great packaging to boot! for around $90.00
Good luck and nice job on getting the Boss something he can use for the Holidays!
I would say go with the George T Stagg as well, even though it is under $100.
I agree with all that has been posted. The only thing I might add, is to possibly set your sights a little lower and get him two bottles. Joe
Not nearly that expensive... but around $50 last I checked. Bookers!
Thank you all for the great ideas! I'm looking forward to a bottle of bookers myself and I think the George T. Stagg is perfect for the boss...and yes, 2 bottles may be in order. One to collect and one to enjoy!
Any online sales websites you can recommend? The only Stagg I found were on ebay $100 and up for the 2008. I live in more rural NC so premier spirit shops are not aplenty. Lots of maddog 20 20 though!

How about coming to work for me http://www.straightbourbon.com/forums/images/icons/icon10.gif
If Stagg or PVW becomes too much like a search for the grail, I think that a Four Roses combo pack of the small batch and single barrel is very nice for someone who has not yet tried them.
