Does anybody know if there are any new releases or bottlings coming along in 09? I guess some variants of "Ri", with higher exponents, are pending, but I wondered if there was anything more to look forward to? In addition to the regulars like BTAC, EWSB, OF Birthday, etc, I mean.

IIRC, I think there is going to be another Four Roses Barrel Proof coming out in the Spring.
Don't know what they are calling it.

I think it's going to be called Four Roses Cha-ching Select

I think I am picking up what you're laying down.

Actually IIRC they have plans to continue the Mariage collection as an occasional release so I would expect it's another of those. I seem to recall something about it may become a seasonal type of release. And Josh is probably right, another $70+ bourbon, which I am not so sure will continue to excite folks.

I heard that there is going to be a new bourbon ready to hit the market this fall, called Tom Buffalo Moore Trace Barton Select Reserve.

It's a mingling of barrels from Bardstown, Owensboro, and Frankfort, containing at least one barrel of each rye-bourbon mashbill and two of wheat-bourbon.

This new entry will be bottled at a predictable 90 proof, and will eventually also be sold at 80 proof in huge plastic jugs (under the name Tom Trace) for "well" consumption. A limited-edition barrel-proof expression (sold under the name Buffalo Barton) will be included in the BTAC, and the label on the back will contain the story of how "Buffalo Barton" taught Tom Moore how to distill his famous bourbon using the now-lost log-and-copper method, and how it eventually rose to prominence with the famous advertising slogan "The Whiskey Without A Trace", culminating in this ultimate version you now hold in your hand.

I suppose I should have waited until April 1, because of course this is all facetious...fueled by the news that Constellation sold the Moore/Barton distillery and brands to Sazerac, and partly inspired (?) by the William LaRue Weller back label telling the nonexistent story of Weller and his nonexistent wheat bourbon that he made at his nonexistent distillery way back in 1849. :D (The Weller family never distilled, instead selling what they purchased from other sources. Their predominant source was the A. Ph. Stitzel distillery, which is generally credited with introducing wheat-recipe bourbon to the market at large sometime at or around the time they merged with their largest customer for bulk whiskey.)

The Mariage series is an Autumn release and will be annual.
It will do a combination of the multi-mashbills-yeast combinations that 4R can create and will not be barrel proof.
This Spring a release of a barrel proof is coming but I have not heard what it is going to be called.
"Cha-Ching select" doesn't sound right to me, but it does sound like a tiresome Moms Mabley joke.
I for one can't wait until it comes out, cuz I'll lay my money down like a Honky Tonk Man on payday.

What ever happened to the "Cream of Kentucky" brand that BT was going to (re)launch?
