View Full Version : Pappy 20
I was in a store in Central jersey yesterday and they had a Pappy 20 for $80. Only 1 was left on the shelf, not sure if they are getting more at that price. Glendale liquors in Kendall Park, NJ on Route 27.

I'd buy it if I saw it for that.
I would buy it too for that price! They go for right around $100 in Chicago...I'm waiting until Binny's has their quarterly 15% off day to pick up a bottle of Pappy 20, Pappy 15, VW Lot B, and a Eagle Rare 17 year.
If only it were closer... that's a pretty good price, last time I got PVW20 I had to drive to PA and I paid $85 a bottle. Thanks for the heads up though!
I work part-time at a place in Ft Worth and we have it right now for $88.99. We tend to be cheaper than most in the area on this kind of thing. But the VW products don't tend to be too plentiful around here anyway. I only know of two other places that have any right now and I think that their prices on the 20 yr are getting closer to the $100 mark.

It's over $100 in almost every store in Louisville right now..
Buy! Buy! Buy! That's the best price you will ever get it for. It is nearing the out-of-reach realm for many of us over $100 ...http://www.straightbourbon.com/forums/images/icons/icon9.gif
Pappy 20 is $94 at Crossover Liquors in Fayetteville.
I have enough Pappy 20 for myself as I bunkered some a year ago.
I am going back to that store tonight, I'll report if they restocked it with more or if that one was the last bottle.
I picked a PVW 20 up today for around $108. Is the current bottling Stitzel-Weller stock? For some reason I thought I read where the latest PVW bottlings was no longer Stitzel-Weller, but I could be mistaken?
As far as I know I thought Pappy 20 was still 100% SW. Can someone confirm?

The PVW20 is still SW stock according to Senor Van Winkle at Whiskyfest Chicago this year (it is Cinco de Mayo after all).
Saw a bottle recently for $90 and was offered 10% off that and there's another store that had it for $80 last time I was there. Still not cheap by any means.
I have one bottle in the bunker waiting to celebrate something noteworthy.
When looking at prices of VVOF and VOF on ebay, I think a 20 year old SW whiskey for $80 is pretty darn good!

I would be celebrating getting it for $80.
Haven't seen the 20 year old in stores for quite some time.. Came across a bottle of 15 year old on Wednesday and snapped it up. Passed on the 23 year old which was priced at over $250!

Same thing in Lexington. Got a bottle of 20 a week or two ago along with one 15 when I called in a favor. Still waiting to see if any other 15yr. shows up. I also grabbed a bottle of 20yr. when I was in Boston this week but thats all I saw. 23yr has been available if you want and can afford it and plenty of Lot B could be had. $80 for the 20yr. is a great price as all of my bottles have run me just over $100 plus tax.
Pleanty of 15yr available in the Chicagoland area...I've seen it going for $49.00 a bottle. Lot B is going for $44.00 and 20yr is $100.00. Are those good prices? I picked up a 15, 20, and two Lot B's yesterday for 15% off those prices.
