In my distant past I consumed consumed Korean Soju in what we called combat bottles. I can see why the North Koreans would spend money on oxygenating it rather than distilling it more carefully. The next time the Dear Leader, Kim Jong Il falls off the Peoples Porch and bangs his demented skull as a result of oxygenated Soju, our enterprising scientists, Drs. Kwang and Hye will be studying the health effects of bug eating in the local gulag.

It might be a while before the trade routes to our local ABC store are opened up here in Alabama. But, I'm hopeful one of our international spirits corporations will license the recipe for their own label. The Jinro coming out of South Korea isn't bad and who knows, the oxygenated expression may be on the ship headed our way right now.
