New to SB, from Ohio.

Read about The Kentucky Bourbon Trail earlier this summer, decided to take a motorcycle ride to get my passport stamped and had no idea that it was the start (Sept. 14) of The Kentucky Bourbon Festival.

I've had bourbon in the past and enjoyed it, but I feel I'm new to appreciating bourbon. I have read (and taken notes) a lot of posts and look forward to sharing the bourbon experience.

Welcome, Rob. Glad to have you aboard! We've been known allow Ohioans to attend our Michigan Bourbon hound events. We've also been kicking around the idea of a Midwestern Bourbon summit. We'll keep you in the loop.

Welcome Rob too bad you didn't tell us of your trip to KY before hand we would have told you about the gazebo. You could have joined us there for more bourbon than you shake a stick at. There is a lot to read here and if you can't find what your looking for just ask and we'll either point you to it or answer your question. Keep us posted on your journey into bourbon. Come join us in chat it's the gazebo at the top of the main page. Officially it's Thursday and Sunday night but people are in there most nights and other times too. It says at the bottom of the forum page who is in chat. Above all have fun and make some new friends.

Welcome aboard, and I second the idea above about the chat rooms. It definitely helped me learn to appriciate the drink.

The username was the give away. That 848 is a sweet bike.

I ride a little and have had a few Ducs over the years. My favorite was the '95 916. I have also had a 900 SS and before that a 900 Darmah Bevel and a 900SS Bevel.

Currently on a KTM 950 Super Enduro. If I could afford a new MultiStrada I would probably be my next bike.
