Ice Slugs or Huge Ice Blocks

Any recommendations for a source that sells ice slugs? I saw one in an Esquire magazine years ago that was a inch or 2 inches thick and was about as big across as a rocks glass. I've google searched for it but can't find it. Does anyone have any sources for such a mold, or alternate ideas?

They used to be available at Ikea. I had 4 of them and they were lost to domestic terrorism. I am looking to replace them. I will let you know when I find them.

..mean ex wife. It was those and some very nice bottles of bourbon.

I've seen them to put in bottled water.

They were in the supermarket on a card near bottled water.

If those are two narrow, I've successfully used Silicone Mini Muffin Pans.


IF those are too small, regular muffin pans.

Finally, a good use for a silicone muffin pan. hate those things. too flimsy to safely move without using a cookie sheet when blazing hot out of the oven.

I've got some silicone ice molds that make a 2"x2" ice cube. They are pretty nice, but I'm pretty sure you can taste the silicone.

The Makers Mark Ice Ball Makers are pretty nice, but it isn't all that easy getting the ice out of it.
