View Full Version : '08 KS and RR90 Questions?
I found 2 - 750's of '08 Kentucky Spirit {11/13/08 Warehouse F} tonight for just under $50, and a Russel's Reserve 90 for about $33; I was not sure if they were a good deal or not. FYI I am in NC, state controlled stores - trying to give you a reference point on pricing here - I paid almost $30 for an ERSB on Christmas Eve.

Is it a good price on the KS? yes. I'm not sure I'd buy it, but that's a decent price.

What he said. In Michigan the state minimum for WTKS is $48 + 6% sales tax.

As for RR90, in Wisconsin it had been $19.99 for a promotion, and you can still find that price here and there, but now it's up to $29.99 everyday. IMHO it's not worth $29.99, nor is it very exciting at $19.99.

Did you buy the 6 yr or 10 yr? RR 10 yr 90 goes for anywhere from $24 - $29 here in northern Illinois, but it's always tough to compare prices in different areas of the country. Especially when we're talking control states. On the plus side, RR is one excellent bourbon!

Out of curiosity, do you prefer RR10yr90 to WT101, which is cheaper? Also, now that RR90 is up to $29.99 on shelf, WTRB, in my neck of the woods, is only $7 more.

I prefer the RR, never have really gotten into WT101 (I know, blasphemy). It killed me to pass up RR10/90 at $24 today at Woodman's. Trying my best to drink up more of what I've already got :(

I hear you on drinking the bunker. Don't know where you are in Illinois, but there's a store in MacFarland(Southern WI) that has RR for $19.99, and I would call around the Lake Geneva/Racine/Kenosha area for $19.99 as well. You're bound to find some.
