Thinking about ordering a couple bottles, am I going to be disappointed?
Better than winkle rye or thomas h handy? Any info or thoughts would be great and highly appreciated.
Thanks!

Haven't had Rendezvous myself, but I must say: Is there anything better than Van Winkle Rye??
I am also about to buy a few bottles of this 6yr/16yr rye blend. All reviews on the web have been excellent.
But I'd like to hear from a SB member who's tried it.

It's a very nice rye. Spice ballanced with vanilla. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

I agree. While I feel its unfair to compare it to the van winkle, it is a solid and unique rye.

It's very good. Probably my favorite of the various High West releases.

I really like the HW Rendezvous. It's a very Rye rye whiskey with a lot of spicy notes and less woody than some older ryes can be

Just did this as Vbt #313. (http://www.straightbourbon.com/forums/showthread.php?p=234491#post234491) It's different. Good, but different.

If you don't want to risk too much, I swear I've seen it in ATL in a 350ml bottle. But, it may have been one of other HW expressions, though. Green's on Ponce.

They do have it at Green's in the 350ml, saw it last time I was there.

The first time that I tried this from a friends bottle, I got alot of caramel and spice.
But now from my own, I get an unusual nose: almost tomato and celery. You will think me nuts, but i also get horseradish. At this point it is an easy dram for me to identify blind, as I pick up a strong sense of a mixed bloody mary.
It's a very nice rye. Spice ballanced with vanilla. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
Thanks for the reviews guys.
