JTS Brown is coming out with a 100 proof version....standard is 80.
The standard is OK....this new expression is of interest.

Another Iowa whiskey...Griff's Cowboy Whiskey...not familiar with the distiller Griffin Ranch Micro Distillery

Great Lakes Distillery - Kinnickinnic Blended American Whiskey (why?)

JW Double Black coming and Inver House brands.

Do they have that new Jim Beam 86 proof expression with the black label as well?

I've heard that they are going to start making a wheated bourbon with red wax on the top....I can't wait to try it.

Lol funny posts. But JTSB 100 actually is rare in illinois. I myself got excited when I saw it.

JTS Brown is relatively rare around here and as the Binny's ad says:

JTS Brown at 100 Proof

"Now your Paul Newman impersonation can get even worse! JTS Brown is "now adding a 100 proof bottling in addition to their standard 80 proof". To celebrate this release we popped some popcorn, cracked a JTS Brown and Netflixed The Hustler. What a classic."

Chuck Cowdrey:

"J.T.S. Brown Bourbon is still made, by Heaven Hill Distilleries, and it's quite good for a low-priced, bottom-shelf brand, but not widely distributed"

"I know J.T.S. Brown BIB isn't distributed to very many parts of the country, (Texas, Ohio, Kentucky, and ???? Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. ) but I have seen the 80 proof version here in Illinois and Wisconsin. This bourbon seems to pop up from time to time here in posts.."

"I picked up several bottles of JTS BRown BiB last trip to KY because I had never seen the label before"

"The last time I was in KY I searched heavily for this bottom shelf gem and only found one bottle."

"I've been looking for JTS Brown BIB for several years, mostly due to the fact that a friend of mine thinks it's a "fictional" bourbon that doesn't really exist, other than in the movie "The Hustler." I finally came across a dozen bottles at the South Loop Binny's only to discover that they were all the 80 proof"

PaulO
Taster

"I'm happy to say JTS Brown is available in Indiana. It seems like it's one of those brands like OWA 107 as far as availability goes. The stores that stock it go through spans of time without any on the shelves."

White Dog
Enthusiast

"There is only one store in Wisconsin who special orders J.T.S Brown, and only the 80proof, so I can't get the BIB."

For those who are not familiar with it, and live in the Binny's area, it is coming. I have read some favorable reviews of it. Maybe CaptainQ, Soad or Ox could give their tasting impressions as they are very familiar with the product.

The BiB has been discussed here quite a bit and was the BOTM in January of this year. These threads are in the general bourbon discussion forum so you may have missed them. The search tool is your friend.

With apologies to our friends at Binny's, it is not a new expression at all. Perhaps it is a bit of artistic license on their part.

I have two bottles in my bunker that are signed by Parker Beam. He chuckled as he was signing them at Liquor World.

It's "for the money" Bourbon. A good pour for the money, simple and tasty. If it cost much more I would probably pass on it. YMMV

I'm on it! Can't wait to see it on the Binny's shelf. Thanks for the heads-up, Jono.

JW Double Black coming...

I'd read on-line that this was begin global distribution (as
opposed to the limited Duty Free only) in March 2011. I'm
glad to see that it is gonna hit shelves soon.
