Ron Rico Gold rum?

Has anyone had any experience with the gold version of Ronrico? It's my first bottle of rum, but I like it for mixing with tea.

Opinions or suggestions for a next step?

Try some Bacardi gold rum. I always found more to my liking than Ron Rico!
