I am in Jacksonville, FL for a convention.
Today I had some time to get away and find a liquor store.
And I found Cooper's Mark bourbon whiskey.
I could not find anything online, the label said charcoal filtered.
Not sure how they can call it bourbon.
It is very light in color, and for $25 I bought a bottle to take home.
Anyone ever see this stuff?

Looks like you linked the album around you tags, not the URL for the image itself

Never heard of it. What info is on the bottle as to the producer?

Why don't you think it's bourbon?

I think it is bottled by Fast Forward Brands in Colorado.

Just about all bourbon is charcoal filtered.

Filtering is different from "mellowing" (like JD) as I understand. Granted, I can't imagine why they would advertise it. That's where my knowledge ends.

I have several bottles of Beams Choice that say the same thing.

Boy, I tell ya'....there's just enough similarities on there ("Mark", font used in the name, prominent star, red coloring, color of label, "torn" look to the bottom of the label, etc,) that I'm sure that every trigger finger in Maker's legal team was twitching. :D.

Not only does the label say "Charcoal Filtered" and "Small Batch," but it also says "Extra Smooth." What, did they forget to say "Sour Mash?"

Cooper's Mark is owned by Fast Forward Brands, LLC of Englewood Colorado. The correspondent listed is Stephen L. Baker of Raritan New Jersey. Joe

The various expressions of Old Heaven Hill mentions it prominently, too.

Since it's not straight bourbon, I'm going to guess that it's less than four years old.

But then it would need an age statement.

Just came across this one myself today. Bottle shape and label design reminded me of another oddball I found about a year ago called "Paddleford Creek", wonder if they might be related?

If Cooper's Mark is a Beam Global product, then there will be no Maker's Mark lawsuit, as MM is now owned by Beam. I wonder if "Fast Forward Brands" is a Beam dba.

That doesn't stop the coke guys from trying to sue Coke zero ...

If it's not straight, then it doesn't need an age statement if under 4 y/o.

I bought a bottle of Cooper's Mark, thinking that with the price tag of almost $30 and labeled as small batch, it would be a decent bottle of Bourbon. Boy was I wrong! This swill reminds me of one of those nondescript cheap whiskeys you find in a plastic 1.75 liter bottle that costs less than $10. I'm not even that picky a drinker. I like all sorts of whiskeys, including rye, scotch, bourbon, and liqueurs that others consider undrinkable, such as Liquore Strega and Fernet Branca. This however, I would not feed to my dog! I am too cheap to just throw it down the drain, so I will try to find alternate uses for it, such as floor cleaner, furniture stripper, or some other use. Please email me with your suggestions.

When I've had a bottle that bad I used it for drain cleaner. It also gave the sewer rats a buzz.:slappin:

Been tempted to try this as I always see it at ABC. Today was the first i noticed a little info tag which said its a blend of 4, 5, and 6 year bourbons expertly blended to give a rich and complex flavor...
still not sold on it, especially if its "drain cleaner" quality
