Okay, so I was playing with a variant on a cold Butterbeer recipe, and came up with something that I personally think is superb.

1oz. Butterscotch Schnaaps
1oz. Stolichnaya Gala Applik Vodka
3-4 shakes Angostura Bitters
Ginger Ale
Maraschino Cherry (garnish)

Drop cherry into a tall glass or beer mug, fill with ice. Add bitters, schnaaps, and vodka, top with ginger ale, stir to combine.

I don't know if anyone will want to try that, but I happen to like it a lot, and want to name it. The only names that I have thought of are 'Candy Apple' or something with Scotch in the name, neither of which I feel good about as it's not candy sweet, and doesn't contain scotch. So I have conundrum. Any suggestions welcome!

This doesn't sound at all like the butterbeer I got at the Harry Potter theme park a few weeks ago...

I'm not sure how they do theirs, but the recipe that I found is based on butterscotch schnapps and cream soda or ginger ale. I originally made it with cream soda, but decided to try ginger ale, and didn't really like it as butterbeer. Having that as a base, I played with it until I got this.

How about "butterbomb"? Or "Ginger Grant" (after Ginger on Gilligan's Island)?
