Year PVW died?

Can anyone confirm the year Pappy Van Winkle died?

The BT website (http://www.buffalotrace.com/history_PVWinkle_m.asp) lists "Up until his death in 1963, ..."

The Old Rip website (http://oldripvanwinkle.com/history/) (History section) lists:

"In May of 1935 at the age of 61,..." "...until his death at the age of 91."

which would mean 1965.

And that's not counting WikiPedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pappy_Van_Winkle%27s_Family_Reserve) which states "At the time of his death in
1965 at the age of 89,..."

I'm guessing aged 91 in 1965 is probably it but I was just curious.

Sally Van Winkle's book "But Always Great Bourbon" lists his birth year as 1874. A big 75th birthday party in April of 1949 is also described. But, i don't know that April was his birth month for sure. She states that he passed in February of 1965. Assuming born April of 1874, and passing Feb of 1965, I figure he was 90.
