Export WT 12YO

just found out i have to go on a biz trip and i'll be flying through narita airport. time to stock up on wt 12yo. WOOO HOOOO!!!! :grin: 2 going and 2 coming back. i bought a couple last year and they are GREAT (not comparing them to US versions of old), especially for the price. i opened one up during my trip and left the unfinished bottle with a friend. brought one bottle back but gave it to a friend as a gift. i just hope they are in stock.:bowdown:

Having exhausted the NRT bourbon selection on my flights (with the exception of the late, lamented Makers Black Wax that I bought on every trip and the unloved-by-me IW Harper decanter), I've been trying out the various Japanese whiskies at the counter in the duty-free to the right in Terminal 1. The older Hibikis are excellent and not as pricey as the single malts.

It would be nice, but after talking with one of their reps I don't think we'll see much expansion of their line in the US in the near future.

Not a single bottle of wt 8 yo at the domestic duty free. They had shelves of it last summer here in the US when I saw shelves of the 12 and 8 yo in Narita. Crap. Just my luck - I bet they don't have the 12 yo at Narita like one poster observed recently. :smiley_acbt:

A buddy of mine went through Heathrow a few months ago. I asked him to grab me a WT 12. He struck out, none to be found.

for anyone interested, narita does have the wt 12yo in stock ( -4 now :grin: ). not as many as last summer. REALLY nice way to "suffer" jet lag.:slappin:
