Howdy all:

I hope you are doing great.

I have heard from two different places now that there will be no more Pappy's in Michigan. I have to say that this is not cool and I am not happy.

I heard from one merchant who did get some and one merchant who did not get some. Basically I guess there were way to many people upset about not getting any or not getting as much as they wanted that the distributor has said they will no longer bring in any.

Again not very happy about this, my local store did not get any but I called and drove around and was able to find some. Now it looks like I will have to drive out of state for it. I am wondering if there is anything I can do about this. I am thinking about emailing Pappy's from their website but I really do not think that they may be able to do anything as they are a drop in the bucket to the other products the distributor carries.

Thoughts on this?

Best regards, tony

This does not sound good. I was able to find a decent amount of it over the past few months.

Tony, did you by chance hear this at a store located at Newburg and 7 mile?

Forget the Pappy's, I haven't even been able to find any Old Rips anywhere! That's what really steams my tamales.

No, it was from a place in Ann Arbor where I was able to find some Pappy's and 7 Mile and Northville Road where I was not able to find any.

Does anyone know where of any 20 years sitting anywhere? I was just reading old posts and it looked like 20 and 23 years were all over SE MI last spring.

I've paid it. And one day it'll feel like a bargain. Got one wholesale this year for 42$. That was nice.

Thanks Tony, was going to head to Kzoo, but looks like I'm going to Ann Arbor today.

I am still thinking about it, but would prefer to find a PHC 2010.

I heard from a pretty reliable source today that there will be no spring allotment in MI, but that the fall allotment will be bigger. Not sure if this means more bottles to current retailers, or more retailers will be getting it. Sounded like the latter. Can't confirm it, but I thought I'd share.

I heard the same thing but I can't evaluate the trustworthiness of the source.

I emailed Preston on this and he told me that they were pulling out of Michigan until they found a better way to distribute here because some retailers physically threatened the rep because they didn't get "their fair share." I would assume they are trying to go to smaller, more select stores.

That's almost exactly what I heard from a store owner. I said really and didn't believe it. I guess I need to reconsider. Folks this is only bourbon. Is it really worth getting in a fight about?

I hope they find a way soon.

I will have to checks later tonight but I am pretty sure they posted a comment on their Facebook page there was going to be a Michigan shipment. It wasn't one of their posts about "xyz has shipped....". It was in response to someone that had asked about a Michigan shipment. Not that, that info is official.

I ran back through the FB page. It said there will not be a shipment until the fall release. Sorry for the confusion.
