I have no idea. I was trying to make a joke, then I realized it wasn't very nice so I deleted it. My guess, considering it's age, is hundreds, but not thousands of dollars. There are other people here who could give you a MUCH better estimate, but you aren't going to get much help around here with your first post asking about how much a bottle is worth.

If you are looking to sell a bottle, this is not the place for it. If you are not looking to sell it, I don't know why you are asking how much it is worth.

Because it is going to make it taste better?

I haven't been on this board long. But one thing I can tell you is that you're either going to get flamed or completely ignored by signing up here just to try and find out how much some old bottle is worth.

I wouldn't pay a dime unless I knew who distilled it

It was reportedly Stitzel-Weller. Which makes it worth about...

Of course it will. Especially if you drink it from a Waterford glass.

I will add one piece of information that could help in valuation....there are no longer 24 available bottles left. I emptied a bottle of this fine pour last August. I expect I will open my 2nd bottle (thank's to another SB'er since Binny's had a limit of 1 per person) later this year.

Seeing as how 20 yr old bourbon is the best I've had (vs 23 or 25), you can keep it. Boubon does not translate very well into the age statement debate that scotch drinkers seem to relish.

That was an excellent bottle, Tom, and thank you for sharing. Enjoy the second one!

There's one going on eBay with a BIN of $3,000

If that's not you then you could follow it and see how much he actually gets.

Truth. Whiskey does not magically become better the longer you age it.

I'll tell you how much it's definitely not worth...$3,000, but hey, good luck with that.

The bottle number on eBay is 15.

Wondering why you didn't give the bottle number in your original post.

Not selling...just curious how much it's worth.

Of course.

Going forward I will assume that any newbie posting about a bottle that they do not intend to sell, who also has the name of that bottle as their sign in name, is a sack of dirty balls

That would be a very accurate assumption.

.....and invite my good buddy Josh over for a taste, right? Right???? :)

The Bird graciously gave me a pour the other night. Very nice. Palate was a bit muddled and would like to try it again.

Should one assume that the bottle counts indicated on a bottle of single barrel whiskey relect the actual number of bottles that were in the barrel?

I would guess flamed. Thus it should be a sack of flaming dirty balls.
