Sitting on the deck, in shorts, drinking a glass of Weller - not normal for March in Minnesota. I've been drinking bourbon for a number of years but have only recently began to refine my taste buds. I hit the bourbon trail last April, went to the sampler and plan to go again this year. I'm sure I met many of you at the sampler last year. Recently I've been enjoying Buffalo Trace, Weller and Eagle Rare. As the budget allows I plan to try some of the higher end bourbons discussed on this site. I've really enjoyed this site and am excited to learn more and eventually contribute. Thanks everyone.

Welcome aboard. My chances of making the sample are about those of the Wild making the playoffs, but there's always hope.

Welcome!
there are a few of us on here. Crazy weather. Putting ice cubes in my whiskey and it's not even June yet.

Welcome Dan It was good meeting you at the sampler last year. It took a year to get you to post on here how long to get you into chat ? :slappin: Just kidding Looking forward to seeing you at the sampler again this year. Post away on the boards. Have fun if you have any questions just ask away.

Hey, Dan! Great to have another Minnesotan on here. Plans are in the works for a gathering of MN folks fairly soon. Watch the Social board for info.

Not from Minnesota, but welcome anyway!

And what is this "Sampler" that you all speak of? :skep:

The sampler is in Bardstown in late April. http://www.kybourbonfestival.com/events.htm
It $40 and many of the KY distilleries are there providing samples - also enjoyed the conversation and bourbon at the gazebo.

Wow, the Sampler sounds pretty great! If all of my vacation time wasn't already spoken for this year, I'd love to make it out. Maybe next year...

Welcome from a Minnesotan from the Alexandria area! I do a lot more viewing than posting. This website has introduced me to a whole lot of great bourbon. Seems like you enjoy a variety of different tastes like I do.
