My buddy is in the UK right now and said he'd pick up something different for me. What's a good bourbon one can only find in the UK or duty free?

Scotch recommendations welcome as well

Any of the Highland Park duty free-only or special editions would be great.

If he's in London have him go to Whisky Exchange and look around.

I liked this when I was there:

Also Royal Mile Whiskies in London is worth a look.

Does anyone know what Four Roses bottlings are available in the UK? I heard about a premium UK only release....

I asked at the distillery if Japan is the only country that receives bottles not available in the U.S. and the answer was 'yes'. Seems to be supported by the website: http://www.fourroses.us/products

(I don't recommend those Japan-only releases by the way. They tasted bland and watery next the SmB and SB.)

I agree about the 4R stuff. I had the whole American and export line at the distillery, and we get just as good or better stuff here.

I understand that the Beam Six Grain is available there in 1 litre bottles. Pretty amazing drop!

This was available in duty free last year:

I sampled it at one of the larger spirits shops in London and thought it was like a cross between a scotch and a bourbon. In a good way.
