Hi,

I've lurked for a long time, and have learned a lot from this site. Figured it's time to say hi.

I am quite a newbie, and my palate is still in its infancy, so I probably will not have the most profound tasting notes, but I do know what I think tastes good. And to that end, I must say, PPVW Rye 13 is some amazing stuff! Also got a few bottles of ORVW 90 and 107. Love them.

I also love scotch (Laphroaig, Ardbeg, and all the other peaty ones.) And love beer too--my favorite's Ten Fidy. It's like a beer milk shake! Mmmm.... :grin:

Can't wait to make some friends here.

Oh god I love the octomores. I have I think the 2.1. Wish I could afford more. Have u compared the 2.2 with others?

It's got a lot going on - fruitier than the 2.1 or 4.1 I tried. I tried it neat the first time and it was surprising "oily" despite the high ABV. I was still able to pick out dried plums & citrus - couldnt place it as to a specific citrus fruit mind you... And ofcourse, there's the peat that rolls in & out like waves encroaching on a sandy beach.

I'm going to try it next time with some water right off the bat.

My brother got a bottle of Comus so I am looking forward to trying that as well.
