Archive.org has the first historic page as December 1998 and the earliest join dates of members is 1999. Alexa says it is "over 15 years old."

It's grown a lot, hasn't it? I joined on 11/07/1999. Still kind of proud to be Member No. 8. Sounds like a bourbon brand. :D
