when walking by your stash, grab a bottle by the neck and take a slug?
Or do I need to think about starting to go to meetings?
I do it if I'm in real rush and don't have time to sip it before I get to my meeting :)

You should post a picture to that "when do you drink treasured bottles" thread.

No, no, no..meetings are for people with drinking problems.
Probably my favorite winter time evening drink is Ryan's Irish Creme and coffee. I buy it by the case in the family size from TPS. I frequently grab it by the neck and take a slug. Delious

Thanks Joe! After reading your previous thread, I feel much better.
I now know that I'm not any more F'd up than many others on the board.

only at other people's houses.
That's why we keep them within reach.
Can't say that I have, but I've been tempted a few times!

only when it is georgia moon, or a white dog sample in a fruit jar. Something about drinking out of a fruit jar makes it taste better.
Have not done this, but now I am thinking about it.

Yes, but as a "sip" not a "slug"... I'll take a small sip off of a bottle or two if I'm trying to figure out what will taste right, or after having a glass of something and wanting to finish with a different flavor.
Addendum: I don't do this with bottles that I'd use for serving anyone else.
Ha, no, can't think of a time when I've ever taken a swig from a bottle, but I definitely smell my bourbons all the time. Love that "pop" of the cork, and mmmm, that smell...
It's the first thing I do when I get home from work. Last thing I do before bed. And first thing I do when I get up in the morning. After I brush my teeth, of course.

No. Absolutely not. There must be something wrong with you. The meetings you speak of occur in the chat room if you ever want to talk about it.
I might have done that a few times.

I've never taken a slug from a bottle - I have a personal distaste of drinking from a bottle others might want a pour from - but I do open and nose several bottles occasionally. Having said that, if I have a bottle I am definately NOT going to be sharing with anyone, who cares if I drink from it :)

Nope. I pretty much share all of my whiskey, I NEVER assume it's just for me, not even my beautiful baby VWFRRs and Saz 18s....that said, I did finish a bottle of Saz in Tahoe that way for effect ;)

Dude, I would have spilled about...oh, 750ml out of that thing right into my face if that bottle had been open!
It's my whisky and I'll drink like I want to.
