One of my favorite places to see other folks opinions on bourbon. I enjoy almost all bourbons, but I do seem to enjoy rye's a little more lately. I'm still enjoying this Jefferson's Presidential Select 18 Year Batch No. 8 as I introduce myself. I look forward to some great reads on the forum.

Welcome aboard KFC, look forward to your contributions. You are certainly well situated to be a Bourbon fan, perhaps you can to add to the posts of your fellow citizens about those bottles we who live outside of the Land of Bourbon find hard to obtain. You are also welcome to join us in the chat room where members gather most evenings. The chat icon is located on the lower left hand corner of your screen.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I lived in Elizabethtown until last October when I sold my house. Great little town and very close to Heaven Hill and other distilleries. I did the Kentucky Bourbon Trail last year with my wife and we both really enjoyed the time together. I enjoyed the spirits and she enjoyed the shirts. I visit BT, even though not on the trail, quite often since I go to Frankfort frequently. They always treat the group of us that go there very well. I have moved closer to Rough River Lake now since I really enjoy boating and all things water. Anyways, I'm going on and on. Squire I have been fortunate to find a few rare items, but not sure how well I am at describing beyond delicious and buttery with a little spice which usually describes my favorite bottles. Hopefully, I can absorb some good knowledge from the forum and improve my ability to translate what I'm tasting. Again, thanks for the welcome.

Oh, forget the descriptors, just tell us what you liked about them over in the General Bourbon forum.

Well, I never thought I would just run into the first person who welcomed me to SB.com but today I had the pleasure of meeting Kyjd75. I see folks are just as wonderful in person as they are on the site. A great bourbon enthusiast and great guy. Maybe someday we can share a pour. Again, great meeting you in person. Small world.

It is indeed a small world. The pleasure of meeting you and your lovely wife was all mine. Always great to meet a bourbon enthusiast who is clearly passionate about the brown juice. Hopefully will see you around E'town again soon and perhaps share that pour.
