Jim Beam 7-year White Label has come out with a bottle honoring University of Kentucky and the 7 National Championships they have won. Nothing special about the bourbon, but may be interesting collectible for some of you Jim Beam/Cat fans. Which I am one of. Sorry I do not have a picture.

I saw these last weekend at the Liquor Barn. I thought about picking one up, but since I have sworn off buying special Maker's Mark bottles, I didn't figure I should give in to this one either.

What do they look like Jeff? Regular looking bottles, or are they kinda impressive? Camera phones need to catch on more! http://www.straightbourbon.com/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif

They had the usual white label with a picture of the state of KY with the UK Basketball championship years listed below. The most striking feature is the blue screw-cap and some blue lettering on the label. I believe there is a paragraph or two about UK basketball on the side of the bottle. Nice looking actually, but still just JB white, although I can't remember right not if it is the 4 or the 7 yo version.

Thanks for the description Jeff. So it's just the generic Beam bottle with different labels, screw cap etc. I was kinda hoping to hear it was a unique bottle like the 200th B-day one or something http://www.straightbourbon.com/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Its the 7 year version. It has a large 7 with the state of Kentucky, representing the 7 national championships and aged 7 years.
The oddest thing about the bottle is that it doesn't say UK or University of Kentucky anywhere on the bottle. Its all implied. I guess they would have had to pay some sort of liscensing fee to actually put UK on the bottle.
