In my cupboard of unopened bottles I have this one. The back label is in Japanese.

Should I open it or let it rest and getr an Old Charter 8 instead? It was an expensive purchase, but I never intended it to gather dust...

Who's it worth more to, you or your descendants? If you, then open it! No sense wasting it on them. http://www.straightbourbon.com/forums/images/graemlins/toast.gif

My gist, Ed, is that there's no sense dying with the seal intact. http://www.straightbourbon.com/forums/images/graemlins/skep.gif

There still seem to be reasonable amounts of it around so my advice would be to open it.

Itīs a good whiskey - not that far removed from OC classic 90. A bit more drier and perfumy is my verdict.

I just returned from Japan. There was a TON of it around in Tokyo (at least in the area I stayed) and at the airport in the Duty Free. I'd open it.

Yes, that's because it's a brand destined for that market but here in Sweden and Europe it's scarce and if you happen to find one here it's pricey...
