For some time now I was trying to remember the bourbon that my dad kept and I snuck drinks from in the middle 1960's. It finally came to me it was Pebble-Ford Bottled in Bond.
The question is does anyone know anything about this? Distiller, how old, mash-bill, the overall quality of bourbon, anything?
Thanks.

A bit here (7th from bottom):
Pebble-Ford wordmark (http://www.bottlebooks.com/American%20Medicinal%20Spirits%20Company/miscellaneous_distillers.htm)
and here, where it notes it apparently was distilled by Merchants Distillery in Terre Haute, IN
Merchants Distillery (http://www.whiskyportal.com/distillerydk.asp?DistilleryID=1302)
Well, Clear Springs Distilling, even though a Chicago address is listed, can be found on bottles originating from Clermont. There's also a mention on pages 92 and 184 of American Still Life by Pacult.

Schenley owned the brand after prohibition and it was passed on to United Distillers, who still owned it in 1996.
