4 cups popcorn lightly salted
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine (1 stick)
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/2tspn vanilla
1/2tspn baking soda
1 to 1/1/2 shots GOOD Bourbon
VanWinkle Lot"B"is nice. Rowen's Creek for more wood flavor.
In a saucepan combine sugar, butter and corn syrup.
Bring to a boil and continue for 5 min.
At the end pull from the heat and add the vanilla
and Bourbon.
back to a boil for a minute.
Remove from heat and stir in the baking soda.
Pour mixture over the popcorn/nuts and stir well.
spread a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
At this point you can eat it when it cools (this is what we end up doing) or bake at 250 deg for 1/2 hour. Cool down, break apart and put in a air tight container.
If there is any left that is....
ENJOY and God Bless!!!!!!!!
