JB black special bottling?

The other day I was in a store that had a Jim Beam black label in a "special decanter bottling" Looked to be late 90's early 2000. I figured it was some kind of holiday special. Anyone seen these and know anything about them?

These bottles came out for the Christmas season 2 or 3 years ago. There must have been a large supply of them as I saw them around for many months afterward!
