I forget where we were discussing Woodford Reserve batch numbering, but here is the answer from Chris Morris.
For the standard 750 ml Woodford Reserve Barrel Select product, the batch numbering was not restarted when Chris's signature replaced Lincoln's. The first batch Chris signed was #216, he thinks.
There are, however, Chris Morris signatures on bottles with lower batch numbers, even very low ones, because batches are numbered by size. In other words, when they started to bottle a 375 ml size, that first batch of 375 mls was batch no. 1. Same way with the 1 L, the 1.75 L, and any other different size they may bottle for international distribution. Also, each Personal Selection bottling (their buy-a-barrel program) is a batch and that program started with batch no. 1 too.
If you buy a Woodford 750 ml in a store and it has a Chris Morris signature on it and a low batch number, it probably is a Personal Selection. Most of those are sold to stores or bars, not individuals.
