I don’t use a “Chaser” often (I know it’s not elegant), but if I do my all time favorite chaser with bourbon is Welch's Grape Juice.
To all you chasers (past & present), what is your best to go with bourbon?
If you haven’t tried Welch's Grape Juice…try it!!!

When I drink Bourbon, I chase it with more Bourbon!
If I'm comparing two or more, I'll use room temperature bottled water in between.

At times, I'll have a glass of room temperature water on hand. If the bourbon I'm drinking is of higher proof, I may chase it with a sip of water, nothing else....

Same here, I seldom want to taste anything else when I'm drinking my bourbon.

I don't see why not...
It is room temp water for me, if anything.

 I would count it…
“a drink of a milder beverage taken after a drink of liquor”
“A drink, as of beer or water, taken after hard liquor”
“a drink to follow immediately after another drink” √http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/Chaser
