Bourbon and Belgian beer

I'm anxious to try a drink that a bartender friend of mine recommended:

Kasteel Rouge Belgian beer with Bourbon.

Will report back. This sounds interesting to me.

Well, I got a bartender to do this for me at a place that has Kasteel Rouge (http://www.kasteelbier.be/documents/Page750.pdf?CFID=1505107&CFTOKEN=41411986) on draught. He put about an ounce of Knob Creek in a rocks glass and then poured on the beer. Unfortunately, he also put some ice into it, which I wish that he hadn't, but it was still really good. It was like drinking a beer Manhattan.
