YET ANOTHER notable casualty of the PLCB's apparent disdain for spirits aficionados. Having to special order this expression-- arguably the most representive of Bushmills' signature taste, is just simply wrong.

They'd better be making room on the shelves for at least one of Cooley's single malts...



... So, does anybody know anything about an Irish Whiskey called Clontarf? Is it made by the Irish Distillers' Group, or Cooley?

It's made by Cooley. There is, or there used to be, three different types: a single malt, a blend and a grain. They are charcoal filtered. I'm not a fan, personally, but they are quite popular.

My local store has/had 99 cent samplers of this. I wasn't too impressed but I have another to try at some later date.
