Not sure if ya'll have seen this or not, but I didn't find it in a search. Below is a link to the series Three Sheets (all 3 seasons) and in Season 2 there's an episode titled "Kentucky" that was interesting and amusing. After watching the first 10 minutes I was really excited about this program. I figured it was about to talk about the process and different bourbons. I started to get worried when it was obvious he did not know anything about the PVW he was drinking. 75% of the show is just about getting smashed.
100% of the series is about getting smashed, hence the title "Three Sheets". :cool:
Well, it's more about drinking cultures first, getting smashed second. I think it's also a desperate search for a way to prevent hangovers.
I get a kick out of this show. Zane is out to punish his liver though. I was disapointed with the Kentucky show. Once he connects with his college room mate it becomes a "back to school days" episode and less about American Whiskey. That said the other episodes are quite entertaining.
I saw a few folks that I know, including the band and Popcorn. I thought it was funny the way they used the ???? for his subtitles, you just cant understand that man!

I just saw this episode recently which was am interesting insight into bourbon but it was also interesting to listen to the Julian VW and his son speak along with the various characters and secret apple pie shots from the Sherwood bar. I was looking at their forum on the three sheets site and found a guy who claims he bought a bottle of 25yo PVW.... :skep:

I love this freaking show, and never saw the thread before so thanks for the bump Stones! Somehow though, I'd missed the Kentucky episode... Or I got Steve McKenna'd and forgot it. :slappin:
I actually like how he doesn't know much about what he's going to be drinking. He doesn't go in with any built up notions and he never argues with his hosts.
Much better than another Travel Channel show host...
No trouble at all, yeah its a great show and even better when presented by a - sorry for the pun - Zanny guy! My partner is from Croatia so she totally got into the episode when he was there. Of course, i totally got into the Kentucky episode. :grin:Quote:
