opinions: the best, currently available, bourbon from Heaven Hill
In looking at my bar, I've noticed that the only Heaven Hill juice that I have is the Rittenhouse BIB Rye (which I like and stock). And - I have a space open (in my 20 Whiskeys rack) for another Rye'd Bourbon and I think I'd like to find something from Heaven Hill to round out the bunch (since for Bourbons I've already got juice from BT, Beam, 4R, and WT).
So what do you guys think is the very best Bourbon from the fine folks at Heaven Hill, amongst what's currently being made and reasonably available (regardless of cost or age or anything, taste is the only thing that matters in this case)? I think, for no particular reason, that I've had very little HH to date - so I'm looking look forward to your informed opinions.
essentially, I'd like to find the very best/tasty example HH's "essence"...
thanks.

I love Elijah Craig...both the 12yo and the 18yo. Plenty find the 18yo overly woody, so maybe go with the 12. Great bourbon.

I would tend to agree, with honrable mention going to Parker Hertitage, EWSB and HH BiB

X2 - The 12 is just right!!
I also agree with Josh The Parker Heritage "if you can find/afford it" is a really great selection.

I tend to enjoy the Bonded HH products most of all. Most are very simple, solid bourbons and a great value. Maybe not Dant so much, but the Old Heaven Hill and Old Fitz are what are available here.
Also for a multi purpose bourbon plain old Evan Williams.
Re: opinions: the best, currently available, bourbon from Heaven Hill
I thought the younger products were the better ones.
I like RITT BIB, but EC12 and EWSB I dont care for. EC18 was okay the few times I've had it. One of these days I have to pick up a NAS EW just to try.
I was looking at JW Dant in the store yesterday but it wasnt BIB. They also had the Green Label which I think was VOHH maybe 86? I was tempted but passed.
*Paging Barturtule, "what was that young HH juice you said wasnt bad?"

The Henry McKenna 10yo in the freaky bottle is very good. I also love all the low-rent HH BIB's. Can't beat the value.

I think the standard Evan Williams black label is excellent on the rocks, has a nice minty tail at the end.
At about $14.00 it is hard to beat.

The one I like is Evan Williams White Label BIB, but it's not widely available.
Go with the EWSB.

I can't find it at all.
I hear it is in Tennessee.
