I have one bottle from batch #2 and one from from batch #3. I noticed that the corks from the two batches are different material. On batch #2, the cork looks like your traditional standard cork, while batch #3, the cork material looks and feels like some type of synthetic (batch #2 seems porous and batch #3 is not).
Is anyone else experiencing the same thing?
Although I have not opened it yet, Batch 4 looks like a synthetic cork.
Batch 1, Bottle No. 1769- 100% synthetic.
My bottle of batch 1 has a synthetic cork-- and it came off the bottle top, which is annoying.
Both my batch 4s have what looks to be a synthetic cork. Even though I'm a traditionalist, I think the synthetic is a better product that has less potential to pollute the contents of the bottle.Quote:
