Today the Alcademics blog features an article about the Knob Creek "empty bottle" press kit. Apparently, Beam sent out another kit, this time with a full bottle - with a clear label with white ink replacing the "old newspaper clipping" label on the bottle.

Those transparent applied labels are really taking over...
Looks like they released it that way to avoid these bottles going to retail.

KC hasn't been sold here in Australia for a few years for that reason... Only 1 store I have found in Australia still brings it in..

I'm not sure, but my impression is that the 'clear' labels are the rarity, created just for promo bottles sent to writers to commemorate the end of the 'drought.'
Or has someone seen them at retail?
