Re: Old Rip Van Winkle 10yr 107 proof.
I absolutely adore the stuff. 40 bucks is a fair price. Its worth it.
Re: Old Rip Van Winkle 10yr 107 proof.
And just as there of those of you who can purchase it at ANY price, there are those of us who have never seen a bottle on the shelf, ever, in six different states. So yeah, if I was lookin' for some I'd pay 40-45 bucks.... especially at what people want for Pappy 15 around here.

Are you talking about ORVW 10/107?
MI state minimun is $39.95, just let me know.
Re: Old Rip Van Winkle 10yr 107 proof.
Like many others have posted, it's an excellent bourbon and well worth the price. I think the last couple I purchased were around the $35 area, and I'd definitely pay $40 for a bottle if that were the going price.
Re: Old Rip Van Winkle 10yr 107 proof.
ORVW 10/107 is a wonderful bourbon. I like it just a little better than Weller 12 and just a little less than Pappy 15.

ORWV 10/107 is hard to find and even harder to find it at the state minimum price.

I've never had a problem getting it.
I see it fairly often.

I guess it's not as popular with the Yankee Rednecks of Jackson Co., MI as it is around here.
Re: Old Rip Van Winkle 10yr 107 proof.
It used to be cheaper, but we would certainly pay $40 for it (frame of reference: in VA, BTAC products are approaching $70 and ORVW is not on the state "formulary"). The ORVW 10yr 107 is about as close to bourbon perfection as we've tasted. In our opinion, better than the discontinued ORVW 15yo or any of the Pappy expressions. That said, it has been 3-4 years since we had an opportunity to buy a bottle, so things could have changed.

Never seen it in Jack-Town, I know several places in Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor that have on the shelf right now.
Now lay off my poor brothers here in Ted Nugent country, cuz when they get a belly full of peppermint schnapps they'll shoot at anything.
