Well I just poured the last of my '86 or '88 flask of Old Fitzgerald, I'll miss 'ole Fitz
The last of the Grand Dad's are history, at least around here.
I killed an ORVW 15 and an old-time 86,8 proof Dickel 8 last night. I did discover first at the last pour that the Dickel was bottled 1977. I never really came up with a decision on what to think of that bottle. Very rich in general for the proof, but not much of typical Tennessee whiskey flavours. If someone had poured it blind to me I would have taken it for bourbon for sure.
A Four Roses Paws and Claws #1 (OBSK) bit the dust with the help of a few friends last evening......
Willett small batch and a PVW 15 were put down.
82 Old Fitz BIB. :frown: What a great bottle. Joe
My flask of 86 or 88 OGD BIB just bit the dust
My bottle of '88 Old Fitz went down a couple days ago, what a sad day.
