"Old" Jim Beam Rye question/observation
Visited my little liquor store friend and he had found a case 200ml Jim Beam Rye for $3 a bottle. This rye has 83 on the bottle and KY-DR8-230 on the bottle. No govt warning and a different label. My observation is that it is an amazingly sweet and easy rye compared to the Beam of today with none of the "funky" yeast taste. just my thoughts.

Can you post a pic of it? I have had it from that era I think. I did not know how to date it then. It was great.
