I'd beg to differ...some of the best "dusty" finds posted here have come from the west coast and LA specificly...you're not looking hard enough as I know for a fact that there are plenty of "dusty" bottles sitting on the shelves of stores in the LA area.Quote:

Found a bottle of McKenzie Bourbon from Finger Lakes in Bloomington, IL this afternoon.

Went the Canadian route and got a 375 of Canadian Club 10 Year, and 750 of Crown Royal Cask 16 750.
Haven't spent much time with the CC10: the one pour I had was so-so, which is what I expected. It'll be a decent mixer, or one to put on the rocks while I'm cooking, cutting onions and not thinking about nosing fine whiskey.
The CRCask16 is a great whiskey. A splash of water really took the winey note over to a sweet, creamy, great pour.
I wish more distilleries were willing to do some aging in cognac or sherry casks like some of the Canadians and many of the scotches do.
