A Wild Turkey Rye 101 gave up its last pour for a little manhattan tonight:
1.75 oz WTRye101
.75 oz Cocchi Vermouth de Turin
half teaspoon dark maple syrup ("grade B" is the dark and strong flavored stuff)
dash of Fee's Orange Bitters
3 Luxuardo cherries
Ahhh... heavenly. I need to find and bunker a few more WTRye 101's, as I've also tested this recipe with Baby Saz, and the rye flavor isn't quite strong enough...
Came home from the Sampler with a desire to re-visit previous private bottlings I've been able to purchase. Sadly, I finished off the remains of Dougs Willett Rye and Doug & Neal's Willett Rye. I would be the first to tell you I'm not a rye fan......but there are exceptions!! Wow!! Glad I have another bottle of each to put in the liquor cabinet!!
Revisited the BT the last two weeks and finished it tonight. Very tasty bourbon and affordable!
Killed off a WTKS embossed dark top earlier this week and last night a Ritt BiB gave up its last.
Finishing my last pour of rare breed. I still have 1L bottle of WT101 that I opened on Friday in anticipation of this moment.
TPS 1792. Started bad to mediocre, got drinkable about halfway, last quarter was really good.
My 4R SB didn't even make it a week. Had an auction Saturday night, took the bottle with me - one of the most popular guys in the room. Will be looking to add a replacement this week.
Lot B.
somehow, I had 2 open bottles. now, just one.
Ritt BiB - there was just about one cocktail left. Done.
