The Master Of The Hounds
This wonderful cocktail recipe comes to SB.com from the mind of the truly great and talented (and unfortunately recently semi-retired,) bartender and Mixologist extraordinaire Murray Stenson of the Zig Zag Cafe in Seattle...Murray has won more cocktail awards than anyone I can think of, he's even been in Playboy in the Manly section for bartending....here's the Master Of The Hounds, as interpreted by Humchan2k:
Master Of The Hounds
2oz Rye - preferably Ritt, for spice
0.5-1oz simple syrup, depending on your sweet tooth
0.5oz Cherry Heering
2 healthy dashes of Angostura
Stir with ice, strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with flamed orange peel.
Like a Manhattan, but more spicy...and delicious.
