And back to the Vintage 21 to finish off the night.
Having a pour of 2010 Saz 18 to finish off an 11hr travel day from Chicago to Portland, OR. ;)
Cracked open a Ritt BiB this weekend. Sure is a great pour, especially when you consider pricing.
Had some Vintage 21... it's truly like pouring out a little bit of heaven into a glass. Rich, creamy, oaky vanilla with wonderful rye spice and just the right amount of vibrancy balanced with some amazing depth.
I picked up a bottle of Jefferson's 10 yo this weekend but haven't opened it yet. Looking forward to giving it a try and comparing to Bulleit and other that are more readily available in my area. I thought 34.99 was a reasonable price point for a 10 yo rye, I'll see if the taste measures up.
I'm having a nice pour of Bulleit Rye while watching the Olympics.
This evening I am watching the Olympics with Rendezvous gracing my glass. With this newest bottle, I am getting a lot of hay/straw which I am enjoying.
It was my bday yesterday, so I broke out multiple (small) pours of my faves:
Bowman TPS Rye 10 year barrel strength - I think this is my favorite rye ever.
Vintage 21 - another winner
VWFRR "A" lot - the whiskey that made me fall in love with American whiskey! My first "precious" bottle ever.
Also had a nice pour of Springbank 18 and a pour of a 17 year old private bottling Willet wheater that is divine.
Lots of small, dainty pours - but each was terrific.
Bulleit Rye. A bargain and a tasty example.
