This was just featured in the Summer 2012 Bourbon Review article "Proofing Himself". A story of San Diego artist Gustaf Rooth. Interesting read. I'd recommend checking it out for those of you that subscribe.

Does anyone know the maker of the chair? It looks like it was strongly influenced by the late Sam Maloof.

Very nice, in the Adirondack style. I wonder if you are surrounded by any lingering whiskey scents on a hot day?

I doubt there would be any whiskey scents coming from it. I'm sure it has some kind of finish applied to it. Also, the shaping of some of the parts would have removed some wood that might have held some residual whiskey scent. just my .02 on it.
