I opened a fresh bottle of Booker's; 8 years and 2 Mo, batch C97-A-31. This has been sitting was on the floor of my closet for a few years and I thought I'd pull it out and use it to make some bourbon balls.
It's a pleasant but not complicated drink. I'm not a huge fan but I don't want to drink any of my more dear bottles right now. I wish I had some caramel corn warmed up in the microwave to go along with it.
I like Bookers because I feel like Jesse James whenever drinking it.Quote:

Home from a fantastic dinner out and dipping into a couple barrel proof bourbons: PHC 2012 with spoonful of water and a WLW 2012 with slightly less water. Both are world-beaters.

Nothing tonight. Wicked cold and can't stop coughing long enough to drink. But my girlfriend did give me a homemade whiskey advent calendar tonight, ha. Apparently I have something special waiting for me on day 25 so...

What?? that's what fixes it. My Granddad taught me that when I was 5 years old. Whiskey and honey fixes the cough just fine. A little more and if the cough is still there, no problems.Quote:

PHC 2012 devil's batch, cut with some water--delicious. Moved onto some SB blend. Finished off with some V17 wheater.
