First time having this. It's been collecting dust at my local spot for 2 years. $24 seemed like a reasonable price for a 10 year BIB single barrel.
Went to the grocery store with my wife this afternoon. Of course I had to stop in the liquor section. I was surprised to see Buffalo Trace Cream Liqueur and OWA on the shelves. This is the first time I've seen either of these at this store, so I grabbed a bottle of each. The price was too good to pass up. Only $19.99 each. Every once in a while.
Lucked my way into a retail price bottle of VWFRR. No lists, no lotteries, no having to know someone. Even a blind chicken etc. etc.
Over the last week managed to score PVW15 x2,PVW20 x20 and a lonely ORVW10 107 all from fairly local stores. The VWFRR never seems to become available in this area. The search goes on......:hot:
2010 Thomas H Handy. Found it in the wild, my first "specialty" bottle.
Side note, after being in this store 20 times I saw on the top a vintage 17 bourbon (green label). I was reading that some had more of a rye content and then some in the alter years were mainly wheaters. Anyone have any info on that?
