Picked up a Ritt BIB DSPKY354. Passed it over a couple times so decided to get it this time. I did pass on a Hirsch 25yo Rye for about $180. Anybody have an opinion on this one?

That's a pretty solid price on that Hirsch I haven't seen it for less than $220.
That's a ridiculously high price for a NPP (no provenance provided) brand trading on a former reputation.
That's not a bad price on the 25. All three of the Hirsch rye are good, with the 22 being nothing short of stellar. If you are interested, you can find my notes here.
I read those notes LB and they are very good, detailed, well thought out and to the point. Have you had the opportunity to sample the 21-25 year old Rittenhouse expressions? I would like to hear how they compare with the Hirsch.

Thanks for the notes LB, that was the info I was looking for. $180 is a bit steep for me at the moment plus I have a few unopened ryes in the bunker to work through so I won't be picking that one up any time soon.Quote:
