I've had this bottle of Pappy for about four years, so it should be from Stitzel Weller, (I think so). It's the smoothest pour I've had. Like your favorite dessert. It's the best all around bourbon I've ever had. (Ive been drinking bourbon for about 13 years). As for me, I'm a high proof guy, I love barrel proof. With that said I've had WLW every year for the past 5 years and for me I would take WLW over Pappy 20 y/o.
Your right I might get blasted for saying that but that's the way it is for me. It's like Old Grand-Dad, I love the 114 proof I'm not a fan of the regular. All that said the bottom line is the Pappy 20 y/o is one of the finest bourbons I've had.
Cringe? Good Heavens, I don't care what anybody drinks. I'm having some Grand Dad.
I know you love your old Grand-dad. Don't think I'm talking bad about it.
I love children, I'm fond of Old Grand Dad (which isn't so old anymore, actually).
Good to hear. :toast:
Last night -- the wife poured me some of the Bulleit she gifted for Valentine's, surprised me with a massage (she's a physical therapist/massage therapist).... I'll skip the next part :70358-devil:.... and then some ORVW 107 while watching House of Cards to close out the night.
Sounds like you got the happy ending JP. I'm referring to the ORVW of course!
Ordered a pour of William Larue Weller at 11:56 AM local time. Lunch is on the company and I'm done until Tuesday. Pretty sure I'm winning right now. Knock on wood.
