Flying delta to Vegas, only one option, Woodford. Only took me one sip to remember why I'm not a fan. Ice isn't helping, but non the less I am flying to Vegas, so I've got that going for me.

Lunch cocktail was Barton mixed with amaretto, triple sec and pineapple juice, sort of a whisky sour.
When I first tried that bottle it was too hot for me, as are all 4R when I first open them (SmB Std,, SB Std., and 2 different SmB LE) and I did add water. I like it both ways really and any way you drink it will probably be good!
On a side note: I was close to deciding I HATED the std. 4R SmB, but after being open for a few months it has turned into a very agreeable pour. Dont' know if it was the whiskey or me that changed...
Same here --- I got it as a gift for this past Christmas and was just getting over a cold. The floral/fruity mix was very off-putting to me at first, and so it sat in my cabinet for 3-4 weeks. When I came back to it, I found myself enjoying that flavor profile, although ultimately I find it pretty thin (especially for the $30 price tag). I too wondered if my palate adapted to it, if it just 'opened up', or if my initial disappointment was mostly due to getting over my cold.
I definitely became a fan, but the price point makes me pause when compared to other $25-$35 options. For me, it seems more of a novelty 'get it once in a great-while' type pour, as opposed to being in full rotation.
Enjoyed some WLW, WTRB, Lot B, EWSB2000, and some BT. Good night on my mini staycation.
Having some OWA at my desk after a long week.
Old Charter 10 from the 90's. A nice pour.
